Peter Allinson, Chief Executive

As the firm’s Chief Executive, Peter has historically focused on developing innovative solutions for the running of the firm and in support of its growth. The result is a model which delivers quality advice at exceptional commercial value.

Peter is increasingly concentrated on his work as Head of the Business Development team. Drawing on the experience he gained from running the firm for over 20 years, Peter works with the team to develop and implement strategies for optimising both new and existing business streams.

Peter is passionate about diversifying the way we deliver services to the real estate market. He works specifically on building productive commercial partnerships with law firms, from the magic circle to boutique, as part of our Real Estate Support and Partnership offering.

Madeleine Davitt, Senior Partner

Madeleine is a founding member of DJB and a commercial property lawyer.  Her focus as Senior Partner is on both managing our entire legal team centrally and being a main point of contact to a number of prestigious clients.  These include The Royal Parks, DEFRA, the Cabinet Office and more.  Madeleine also manages many of our major contracts including the Crown Commercial Service “CCS” Framework.

Madeleine’s work has consistently been recognised by the legal directories and she has been awarded Legal 500 Hall of Fame status for the last two years.  This reputation is in no small part due to her high standard of client care; she is described by clients as ‘a true commercial property specialist with unrivalled property knowledge’.

Madeleine is the driving force behind DJB’s exceptionally high standards of client care.  Madeleine ensures the Client Directors and Account Managers provide the high levels of service necessary to ensure we retain strong partnerships with our existing clients.

Sean Bulman, Partner

Sean is a specialist commercial property solicitor with over 20 years’ experience.  Clients regularly choose Sean to be the lead lawyer on their major projects and for the management of their estates.  He has undertaken this role for Vodafone, TV celebrity chef Rick Stein, The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and technology giant Fujifilm.

Melanie Greer-Walker, Partner

After an initial career in corporate banking, structured finance and treasury at British Rail/Railtrack plc, Melanie trained as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and worked at Addleshaw Goddard and Rosenblatt.  Melanie has a wealth of experience advising on a range of complex commercial property matters.  She has recently advised on a number of multi-million-pound strategic development acquisitions and disposals.  Prior to joining DJB, Melanie was an in-house Solicitor at One Housing in London, responsible for bringing all of their commercial property work in house.  She also has experience of working with blue-chip clients, high-value lease work, portfolio management, business sales and purchases and refinancing matters.  One client recently told the Legal 500 that Melanie Greer-Walker was, ‘the best lawyer we have ever worked with’.

John Condliffe, Partner

John has over 20 years of transactional real estate law experience across all sectors and deal types.

He has bought trophy buildings in central London, developed distribution hubs for major retailers and helped large corporate occupiers get rid of their lease liabilities.  He has also dealt with properties in almost every town and city across the country. Most of all he enjoys being part of the real estate market and how it has an impact on everything we do.

John has a master’s degree in business analytics at UCL. This means he is comfortable with analysing data and understanding with the financial aspects of complex deals, and enjoys structuring deals logically, focusing on what really matters.  He brings a different, data-driven and analytical, approach to deals.  He delivers legal advice in a robust, commercial and pragmatic manner.

Prior to joining DJB, John was a real estate lawyer at Hogan Lovells for over 20 years and a partner there for over 10 years.  John has been consistently ranked as a leading lawyer in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. 

John has been a founder member of the Commercial Real Estate Legal Association (CRELA) and a board member of the Investment Property Forum.
