Resources for All DJB Solicitors
All resources are provided by the Business Services Centre, thereby maintaining conformity of operation and consistency of standards.
Business Development & Client Care
The Account Management Team take away as much of the non-chargeable duties on matters as possible, allowing our solicitors to focus on the legal work. This includes file opening, due diligence in relation to new clients and obtaining security for costs. Solicitors are free to start work as soon as the file has been opened.
Full Administrative & Secretarial Support
All solicitors are provided with digital dictation software and can use the DJB legal secretarial pool for the full range of secretarial services.
Accounts Functions & Invoicing
The Accounts Department deal with all of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR) requirements and provide the full range of accounts service required by a real estate law firm.
The Legal Support Team take care of all routine tasks to support lawyers, including searches, dealings with the Land Registry, preparing draft SDLT forms and the management of deeds.
Communications, Computer Systems & IT Support
DJB employ remote working technologies to ensure the full range of standard software is available to all solicitors, wherever they choose to locate. VoIP telephone equipment will be provided so that all solicitors have their own business direct dial. This includes our DMS in which we maintain our legal files electronically to ensure our solicitors are able to work anywhere.

All solicitors have access to the full range of online resources and legal texts.

DJB’s Compliance Leadership Team cover all compliance requirements. Along with this, we take care of all pre-checkers, undertakings and file opening, relieving lawyers from doing this. Our awards apply to all our solicitors.

The firm is Lexcel accredited and holds ISO 9001, 14001, 22301 and 27001 accreditations and Investors In People (IIP). These accreditations are often required by many corporate and public sector clients to be accepted to their panels. Maintenance of these accreditations is undertaken by the firm on behalf of the Client Partners and Client Directors.

HMRC Policy IR35
Successive audits have demonstrated a high level of compliance with the policy guidelines, validating the off-payroll status of all solicitors contracted to work for DJB. DJB continually work hard to ensure our arrangements with all solicitors do not fall within HMRC Policy IR35. We will continue to be audited annually to ensure ongoing compliance. All DJB solicitors are self-employed and are therefore responsible for filing their own tax returns.
